Welcome to the AAPI Queens & Long Island website, a chapter of National American Association of the Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI).
The organization's meteoric rise from seven members in 1995/96 to over 350 today shows tremendous support from the community physicians. AAPIQLI has become one of today's premier ethnic medical associations in Queens and Long Island. This is a tribute to our leaders, a network of hardworking committees, and our continuously growing membership.
AAPI has been the voice of Indian physicians in this country for more than a decade and continues to stand up for the causes we as physicians believe in. AAPI's strong voice and presence in the American Medical Association has clearly changed the way we are perceived in this country. The work of the Charitable Foundation of AAPI is very well known to all of you as well.
The Queens and Long Island Chapter of AAPI is one of the most active associations in the Tri-State area and represents over 1500 physicians. We organize a monthly CME seminar and an annual Gala Event. We conduct local health fairs and plan to expand several outreach programs to show our strong commitment to the community and to our members.
Information regarding AAPIQLI's many activities and programs is included throughout the website. We hope you will find what you're looking for and return often for updates. And, if you're not already a member, please take a look at the various membership categories and the member benefits. We're confident that you'll discover the value of joining today. Presently we are more than 350 members strong. We are one of the fastest growing chapters of AAPI. In 2004 alone, we have grown by 100 members.
So that the AAPI website can become an even more valuable resource for you, we always encourage your
comments, suggestions and questions.
Thank you.
